Turning Complex HPC Infrastructure Into a Launch-Ready Product

Amalgamy AI had powerful technical capabilities, but the early product experience was difficult to navigate, visually dense and inconsistent. Users needed to understand workflows, resource allocation, execution performance and machine usage without being overwhelmed by the complexity behind the infrastructure.

We worked closely with the client to understand the underlying HPC logic, then translated those complex concepts into clearer product structures, workflows and features — making it easier for users to understand, configure, monitor and act with confidence.

HPC workflows required users to manage complex processes — from creating jobs and uploading workflow files to configuring tasks and tracking execution status. We redesigned these experiences into clearer, more structured journeys that made technical workflows easier to understand and manage.

Beyond workflows, users also needed visibility into the infrastructure powering their workloads. We designed resource monitoring around CPU, GPU, RAM, network capacity, compute pools and execution timelines, turning raw infrastructure data into clearer insights for faster understanding and decision-making.

Amalgamy needed to support complex enterprise capabilities across allocation requests, compute pools, nodes, activity logs, team usage and infrastructure management without creating a fragmented experience.

We brought these workflows into one consistent product system, creating reusable patterns across tables, detail pages, configuration flows, charts, settings and resource-management modules. The interface also evolved from a dark-only experience into a scalable light-and-dark system with white-label customization — allowing the platform to grow without reinventing the experience.

This was not a traditional design-and-handoff engagement. Our frontend engineers worked alongside product design and the client team from the beginning, ensuring components, themes and complex workflows were designed with implementation in mind.

By owning both the product experience and frontend implementation, we moved directly from strategy and design decisions into working interfaces — helping Amalgamy evolve from an early technical product into a launch-ready platform.
