From Fragmented Clinical Workflows to a Patient-Centered Experience
The original Elkra MVP had powerful functionality, but patient data was scattered across heavy navigation, separate reports, workflows, files and AI tools.
We reorganized the experience around the patient — bringing reports, protocols, notes, AI outputs, files and care history into one clearer clinical context, so clinicians could find information faster and understand what to do next.
Fragmented clinical experience → Patient-centered workflow
Before the Transformation

Designing AI Into the Clinical Workflow
Elkra already had strong AI ambitions, but AI could not feel like another tool clinicians had to switch into. We designed it as a working layer inside the clinical experience—helping clinicians search, summarize, document and retrieve information without leaving the context of patient care.
AI feature → AI-native workflow

Bringing AI Scribe Into the
Patient Record
Clinical documentation should not become another disconnected workflow. We integrated the AI Scribe directly into the patient experience, so generated notes and documentation stayed connected to the wider clinical record and the context of ongoing care.

Structuring Clinical Workflows Around How Teams Actually Work
The original MVP required too much navigation across patients, reports, workflows and AI tools, while different clinics also needed flexibility in how they handled reports, forms and operating processes.
We simplified the information architecture into clearer, more predictable sections and redesigned reporting and workflow tools to be more configurable—giving clinicians a structured experience without forcing every clinic into the same workflow.
Navigation-heavy + rigid workflows → Clear, configurable clinical system

Scaling Elkra Beyond the Doctor Into a Complete Practice Operating System
Elkra needed to support more than individual clinical workflows. We expanded the experience across dashboards, workflow tracking, management views, insurance insights and protocol visibility, creating a broader operating layer for the entire neurology practice.
At the same time, we designed the platform to scale across different clinics through white-label deployment, adaptable branding, flexible forms, customizable reports and clinic-specific workflows—turning Elkra from a clinical tool into a scalable healthcare platform.
Clinical tools → Practice operations → Multi-clinic scale

From a Cluttered MVP to an AI-Native Clinical Platform Built to Scale
The redesign made patient information easier to access, workflows easier to manage, reports more flexible and AI more naturally connected to clinical work. Instead of treating Copilot and Scribe as separate features, we designed AI into the way clinicians search, document, manage and understand patient care.
The result was a more structured platform for clinicians and staff, with clearer navigation, configurable clinical processes and a white-label foundation ready to scale across different clinics and healthcare environments.

Client Perspective
“ From a Cluttered MVP to an AI-Native Neurology Platform ”
The Elkra team described the transformation around two core ideas: working closely together inside the product, and treating AI as a layer across clinical workflows rather than another separate screen.
